Interviewing: Lesson plan 1

Each lesson plan in this 'Speeches' series includes learning outcomes, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation notes, resources and a step-by-step learning sequence. In this lesson students will learn to prepare their interviews using an interview plan sheet. Packed with templates for students and hot tips for the teacher, students will go through the motions of preparing for an interview, including research of all possible information before writing down their questions. The lesson concludes with time for students to reflect on what they learnt about interviewing. A homework exercise is also provided for students to take away for later work.
