Debating: Lesson plan 6

Each lesson plan in this 'Debates' series includes learning outcomes, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation notes, resources and a step-by-step learning sequence. Packed with debate topic cards and discussion points for the teacher, students will understand the role of judging in a debate by the end of the lesson. The teacher will help students come up with guidelines for choosing who wins a debate, before running a class debate. The lesson concludes with time for students to reflect on their learning. The e-unit also provides a homework task for students to take home.
