Waste busters

This engaging lesson plan contains a learning outcome, success criteria, pre-lesson preparation, resources, learning sequences and a conclusion. Students will gain awareness of how to reduce waste throughout the lesson. After introducing the topic of reducing waste, the teacher will discuss why we need to reduce the size of landfills and ask students to work through a 'KWL' chart on how to reduce waste. In the final task student will get creative and make a variety of products to promote shopping with an "eco-bag". The lesson concludes with time for the student to fill out a learning log and reflect on the lesson, as well as a homework activity to be taken home and worked on later.
