Work on your spelling

Short story + activities

This unit consists of a narrative about going to a neighbourhood fireworks night and associated activities that focus on improving spelling skills. Task 1 looks at words that are often spelt incorrectly. Students need to fill the gap in each sentence by selecting the correct spelling of each given word. In the second task, students read through the excerpt from the text and underline the spelling errors they find. They then write a corrected list of all the identified words in the table provided.
