Addition strategies: the commutative method

In this unit students learn to use what they know about the commutative method to help them solve large number addition problems. An assessment rubric of the learning outcome is included, making learning transparent by showing where the student is at and what their next step in learning is based on the three progressions of higher-order thinking.
