Vocabulary building game: Countering contractions

Packed in this e-unit is a fun and interactive game for teachers to run in their class. The unit provides game instructions for the teacher, cards to be photocopied and prepared for students and idea's to make the game harder or easier to suit each groups ability! Students will play in teams, with the aim of the game being to correctly write down the contraction equivalent of each contraction card and collect the most counters. As the game is designed for younger students, the teacher will support each group throughout the exercise.
