Identify the problem and solution in a story

This unit contains two worksheets that focus on developing students' understanding of plot elements within a story. Each worksheet is a flexible template that can be adapted to any story or book. The first template in this unit requires students to identify and draw the problem and solution in a story. Students need to respond critically to the story on the second template by thinking of a better or different solution to the problem.
