Recognise compound and complex sentences

This unit consists of a short text about a man shopping in a new supermarket and worksheets focussed on recognising compound and complex sentences. The first and third worksheets gives students an explanation of these grammar patterns and include exercises to reinforce understanding using excerpts from the text. Worksheet 2 focuses on using compound sentences to help writing flow, while in the final worksheet in this unit students can revise using subordinate clauses to add extra detail.
