All about adverbs

This unit consists of a short text about a boy whose grandma has come to live with them, and worksheets focussed on recognising adverbs. The first worksheet gives students an explanation of adverbs then an exercise on identifying adverbs in excerpts from the text. The second worksheet focuses on using adverbs as describing words; the third on using adverbs to change meaning. Students learn about the importance of the position of adverbs in a sentence in Worksheet 4.
