Non fiction text: Volcanoes

This e-unit contains three versions of an informative piece on volcanoes, catering to the varying levels of students. Students will draw volcanoes as an introduction to the text before working though a series of questions. The lesson will address the key skill of literal thinking, deepen understanding of particular words and why they were used and evaluate the effectiveness of the text. Answers are also provided for selected questions to assist the teacher with marking.
