Ngā Mihi

Introducing yourself in te reo Māori

This unit contains dialogue cards that enable the children to converse in Māori using familiar words and simple phrases. The cards have elements of a simple mihimihi. A mihimihi is an introductory speech and can be given by males and females. They are important for Māori because they enable them to share their whakapapa and ancestral ties.
