The four worksheets in this unit contain two types of exercises. The first exercise gives six 1 - 5 rulers. Stduents are directed to either cover or cross out numbers on the ruler to help them solve the correspodning equations. Both addition and subtraction are covered. The second type of task is word problems. For example, John caught 4 bugs. Todd caught 1 bug. How mnay bugs did they catch all together? An equation template is provided to support students with their working.
